Machu Picchu - Seven wonders of this world - magical Machu Picchu - 4800m altitude trekked, Machu Picchu conquered, fantastic trip.
Machu Picchu is one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. Every year hundreds of thousands of tourists make a pilgrimage to the Peruvian ruined city. But since its discovery around a hundred years ago, it has apparently been given a wrong name, as scientists have now discovered.
The Unesco World Heritage site was named Huayna Picchu by its builders, the Inca people. At least that's what a Peruvian historian and a US archaeologist claim. Huayna Picchu is actually the name of the mighty mountain peak that looms behind the Inca city on most motifs. Machu Picchu currently denotes both the archaeological site and the mountain on the other side of the ruins.
These are among the most famous structures of mankind. The terraced buildings at a height of more than 2400 meters fascinate visitors because of the perfect, seamless stone walls, which time apparently could hardly harm.
Those the most important attraction of Peru. The lost city of the Incas is located at 120 kilometers of Cusco, in the Urubamba Valley. Since its discovery back in 1911, by the American researcher Hiram Bingham, there have been many hypotheses regarding the construction of the city. However, it is known that the Incas built the city in this rough area of the jungle to avoid access and possible attacks from their enemies. was the most important Incan center for worship and astronomic observation.

New year resolutions
- Learn to meditate, learn to focus. Your senses are overly awake. You can't sleep, you can't be in the moment, you've been restless. Get focused, seize the moment, regulate the noise in your head and listen to yourself.
- Time is precious to you and you have long needed much of it for building your own temple. At is time now to spend it with the ones you love. Let them feel, what they mean to you. Call them, hug them, tell them you love them. Be a harbour of trust.
- Your body is your temple. Whatever it takes, make it breath, otherwise you get sick. Move! You need it! (If you can, change the job that makes you feel like toilet paper)
- Allow yourself to cry from time to time. You're not a machine, you have feelings. Let them free.
- You don't harm people, animals or nature and you're doing well with that. You have a good heart. Continue being what you want to see in society yourself.
- Be courageous, be adventurous, be free. At keeps you alive!

"What have you done that was so hard it made you want to give up? This 8-hour hike was definitely hard for us, but if we endure through the tough times, beautiful things will come from our struggles. What is something beautiful that has come from you fighting through a struggle? Keep fighting until the end!!

In the Andes of Peru you find the ruins of Machu Picchu - the mysteries of the Inca Empire. What we see today had to be sculpted out to create a relatively flat space - about 60 percent of the construction done at Machu Picchu was underground. Train tickets from Cusco can run more than a hundred dollars each, and entry fees range from $47 to $62 depending on which options you choose. A round-trip up and down the 2,000-feet-high which the Inca ruins are located costs another $24. You can also walk up and down for free. The path offers extraordinary views of the Machu Picchu Historical Sanctuary, which looks almost as it did in the past. The climb is strenuous and takes about 90 minutes.
But it’s worth the visit for sure.

Celebrating the Big 4-0 in Peru, trekking along the Inca Trail to the Sacred Machu Picchu, and doing 'the work' through Ayahuasca
Ayahusca shows you what you need, not what you want. Sometimes, it's harder to look within and go deeper. She was illuminating, challenging and spiritual. All the healing and love we need is within. Coming back with deep respect and love for both the chaos and order around me.
