How to get to Radian Lagoon?

To get to the Radian Lagoon, you must go to Huaraz. If you leave Lima, you can take a direct bus to this city with Movilbus, Oltursa and Transportes Julio César. The journey lasts approximately 8 hours.

Once you have arrived in Huaraz, you can start this adventure to the Radian Lagoon, following the route that we showed you previously.

As for accommodation you have 2 options. The first is to spend the night in a hotel or hostel in the city of Huaraz. Here, you will find several sites that provide this service at good prices. The second option is to sleep in the middle of nature in the camping areas that are set up for those who want to rest watching the stars.

The Data

  • If you are going to take the tour through the lagoons, we recommend that you seek advice from an authorized guide since the path is not signposted. In addition, to enter the park it is mandatory to enter with a guide and personnel specialized in each activity.
  • The climate is colder in the high parts of the mountain range. The rainy period is from December to March. Therefore, the best time to visit the park is between December and March.
  • Don't forget to bring thick clothing, raincoats, umbrellas and water for long walks.
  • Due to the altitude, you may suffer from dizziness, headache or nausea. For this reason, do not forget to bring hydrating drinks to consume during the journey. Also, you can carry remedies such as Coramina, Gravol or Sorojchi.
  • Remember to take care of these natural spaces by doing responsible tourism.
  • The minimum temperature is -2 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 15 degrees Celsius. Likewise, this place is 6,768 meters above sea level.
  • If you are going camping, remember to leave everything as you found it.
  • To hike to the lagoons, it is recommended to be in good physical condition. Also, have some experience hiking through rugged terrain. Please note that this trip has a high degree of difficulty.
