The Combo Sacred Valley to Inca Trail will give you the opportunity to appreciate the archaeological sites of Pisac, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Moray, Salineras and more… temples, palaces and agricultural centers that survive to this day despite the passage of time; and then hike from Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu (Inca Trail), that starts at Km 104 of the Cusco – Aguas Calientes railway line. It is an uphill walk, make sure you have everything you need such as: repellent sunscreen, head protection, water, etc. For 3 hours you will have to climb steadily through pastures until you reach Wiñayhuayna and another two hours of walking until you reach the entrance to Machu Picchu. During the Short Inca Trail 2 days you will feel the connection with all the flora, fauna and geography of the area. Inca Trail Walking Distance – 12 km / 7.46 miles
The Sacred Valley to Inca Trail tour starts at 7:00 am, the transfer pick you up from your hotel. Then we go to the Sacred Valley (2 hours trip) to visit the most important places of the Valley, we will start visiting the villages, traditional markets and Pisac archaeological center, from where you can appreciate the impressive platforms of the Inca period and the village. Continuing with the trip through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we make a stop, for the (buffet lunch in tourist restaurant of Urubamba). After lunch, about 30 minutes away, we will visit the salt mines, close to the town of Maras, and then visit Moray, the agrarian experimentation center of the incas. After the visit to this archaeological centers we went to the town of Chinchero, where we can visit the colonial temple with interesting frescoes in the portico built on the foundations of an Inca building. Then we go to the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo, enjoy the Ollantaytambo fortress and observe the agricultural areas; what stands out most is the cultivation of rainfed corn, without irrigation, also the cultivation of Andean tubers and cereals. Spend the night in Ollantaytambo.
Get up early, breakfast and prepared to start hiking Short Inca Trail 2 days. Then walk to the Ollantaytambo´s railway station. There, we get on a train and continue until Km 104, where a checking point of the Inca Trail is located. Between the Andean mountains and tropical forest is a great Inca Trail through the mountains and the Sacred Valley. The first archaeological site we will visit is Chachabamba (2,200 m / 7,218 ft) located on the side of the Urubamba River and Wiñaywayna (2650 m / 8.696 ft) is at the top. Then we will go to the Intipunku (2,720 m / 8,924 ft) where we will have a panoramic view of Machu Picchu (2,490 m / 8,169 ft), you can also find a variety of flora and fauna as well as a variety of birds. The walk lasts approximately 6 to 7 hours until you reach the Sun Gate known as “Inti Punku”, where you can get the first panoramic views of Machu Picchu.
After an early morning breakfast, we continue hiking the Inca Trail for about 2 hours up to the mysterious city of Machu Picchu that we enter for the early morning best photos opportunities. The tour will be private in Machu Picchu, being one of the most spectacular cities of the ancient world. Built by the Inka Pachacuteq; this fabulous city contains houses, temples, warehouses, a large square and everything is connected by narrow streets and steps; In addition, it is surrounded by terraces that were used for agriculture. After a tour of approximately two hours, you will have free time to enjoy this magical and spiritual city. Also, you have the opportunity to climb up for about 45 minutes to Huayna Picchu or to Machu Picchu Mountain (peaks above Machu Picchu serving to take some panoramic pictures of the Inka city). The 2 day Inca Trail ends up with a train ride to Ollantaytambo, from where we are taken by van back to Cusco.

We spend a night in small locally owned hotel with private bathrooms and breakfast facilities (Double or Matrimonial room). All of the hotels we use in Aguas Calientes are located within walking distance of the train stations.
Both are located in Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu town, and each bedroom has a private bathroom and confortable beds (Double or Matrimonial) for your confort. Also, it includes the breakfast and a hot beverages for free.
During the 3 day Sacred Valley VIP to Inca Trail, we request the hotels to get ready your rooms for time of your arrival, especially if you arrive prior to standard check-in time. Nevertheless, this is not always possible. In this case, you just store your luggage in that hotel storage room and you can explore around your new destination in between. We recommend the early booking of single supplements and of pre/post-tour accommodation. Single accommodation can be arranged for a supplement, subject to availability. Please request this at the time of booking.

Generally speaking you should pack as lightly as possible.you will carry your luggage from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes town. We recommend keeping the weight under 5 kg/10lb (included personal clothes). You will need to carry daypack.
You will not need to carry a sleeping bag, because you will spend a night in the hotel in Machu Picchu If very important your take best cover backpacker, because the weather in Inca Trail is change every date, we can’t predict it raining or no. If you don’t have, we recommended to putting your clothes and other personal equipment inside the plastic bag.
Please note: we do provide a daily morning snack and our meal service is very complete and well supplied. We reccomend you to take your own snack applies for customers who like a specific snack that might not be in our menu.
Extra Luggage: If you have extra luggage, you can be left safely in your hotel in Cusco, in the Ollantaytambo train station or Tierras Vivas store luggage. if you decided in our store luggage, in the morning our driver will pick your luggage and He leave in our office and we will save 2 days and when you will return to Cusco, you can pick your luggage.
