Despite difficult conditions during hikes, the Tierras Vivas Cooks are masters at preparing delicious meals, salads, cakes, and beverages. If you are a vegetarian or have any dietary restrictions, please let us know prior to the trek. A vegetarian meal option is for NO extra costs! Meals are usually served buffet style.
Tierras Vivas DOES NOT permit exploitation of Porters!! We guarantee that our porters carry only an amount given by the Peruvian law!! There is still a long way to go when it comes to a reserve of adequate meals, backpacks, and warm and dry sleeping accommodations. However, Tierras Vivas complies with the so-called Porter´s Law and provides all the equipment to our porters for a hike on the Inca Trail, which you will be able to see for yourself when you come with us.
