We did it! 10,000 native trees planting this 2023.
Thank you to every traveler who trusted us. This year, we are proud to announce that we have successfully planted 10,000 Queñua trees, which are native to the region.
At Tierras Vivas, we understand the importance of reforestation in preserving our planet’s natural beauty and ecological balance. We are committed to taking tangible actions to mitigate the effects of deforestation and promote sustainable practices.
Our reforestation efforts are focused in Peru, a country blessed with diverse landscapes ranging from Andean glaciers to tropical beaches, arid deserts, Amazonian rainforests, and mountainous scrublands. Specifically, our planting site is located in the high Andes near Cusco, in a place called Rumira Sondormoyo in Lares.
By planting Queñua trees in this area, we aim to restore and protect the natural habitat, promote biodiversity, and contribute to the overall health of the ecosystem. These trees are not only vital for the local flora and fauna but also play a crucial role in maintaining water sources and combating climate change.
We are grateful for the support and trust of our travelers, as their participation in our tours and expeditions directly contributes to our reforestation efforts. Together, we can make a positive impact on the environment and ensure a greener future for generations to come.
Once again, thank you for choosing Tierras Vivas, and let’s continue working together for a more sustainable and thriving planet.
