The Urubamba River extends from the Andean high mountain ranges through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing through Machu Picchu and into the jungle. It has some exciting white water depending on the section of the river that is being made and the time of year. One of our most popular rafting sections during the season is the “Chuqui” section of the river in the Upper Urubamba. There are good class II rapids and the water is not contaminated, since unfortunately the section of the Huambutio and Ollantaytambo rivers is.
Enjoy this exciting Urubamba river rafting and trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will see some beautiful landscapes near the city of Cusco.
