    Day 01: Cusco – Rumira Sondormayo – Machu Picchu Town

    Day 01: Cusco - Rumira Sondormayo - Machu Picchu TownEarly transfer from your hotel to Rumira Sondormayo andean community. You will drive towards northeast of Cusco city to the sacred valley of the Incas(Incas‘ main breadbasket). This is a scenic journey with amazing farmlands arranged in patches, snow-capped mountains, and picturesque andean villages. You will drive past the handcraft town of  Chinchero and then down to Sacred valley of the Incas past the biggest town of Urubamba, and next towards the Inca town of Ollantaytambo where you will drive off on a dirt road to the picturesque andean town of  Willoc. This town is located in a narrow fertile valley with maize and potato fields spread along and high up on the steep slopes and crossed by river Patacancha and is situated at an altitude of 3,750mt/12,300ft. It is the most traditional andean town. The inhabitants still wear their traditional clothes and practice their customs and traditions.They still farm  different varieties of potatoes, maize, beans, etc. and raise llamas and Alpacas. The llama  has been traditionally raised by pre inca and inca peoples , and it has been highly bred for meat, wool, skin and  used as pack animals. Before lunch, you will learn how locals herd the llamas and Alpacas into their pens, sheer the ready ones and about the different plants they have been using for dying wool. After a traditional succulent typicacal lunch, you will be transferred back to Ollantaytambo Inca town for a walking tour and finally board the train to Machu Picchu town. Overnight in a hotel.

    Day 02: Machu Picchu

    Day 02: Machu PicchuThe town of Machu Picchu is located  on the eyebrow of the jungle and an altitude of 2,000 meters. After an early breakfast, you will leave the hotel and and queue up to get on the bus to Machu Picchu Inca sanctuary. Upon arriving up on top of the mountain and to the entrance gate of Machupicchu Inca site, you will enter and wander about the site conducted by  your tour guide. After the tour, if  you have booked any of  the mountains, enjoy the hike to the top and admire the striking views of the surrounding scenery.Finally back down from the mounatin, take the bus down  to Machu Picchu town to rest and enjoy lunch till the time for your train to leave.
